Jubilee Safe Plate Day Was a Huge Success!

On Sunday 13 October, Jubilee’s Neighbourhood Watch committee hosted its first Safe Plate event for all residents.

The initiative invited residents to bring their car along to the Jubilee Display Village car park and have Jubilee NHW committee members and volunteers affix one-way screws onto their number plates.

Taking place from 10:00am – 12:00pm, residents enjoyed complimentary hot drinks and a chat with their neighbours as local volunteers affixed their number plates in support of theft prevention.

As well as the complimentary beverages, residents had the opportunity to chat to the committee members about the various ways in which they can contribute to community safety and involvement so together we can work towards building a safe, cohesive and empowered Jubilee!

Local Victorian Police members attended too.  They were thrilled with the high attendance and proactiveness of the Jubilee community.  Special mention to the lovely Bambi Gordon, Neighbourhood Watch CEO, who attended the event with three members from Manningham’s Neighbourhood Watch – Geoff, Ian and Tony.   Alongside Jubilee’s Neighbourhood Watch committee, the team helped to fit plates for all of our residents who attended on the day.  We had heaps of residents come down – it was a great success!

Jubilee Neighbourhood Watch is a brand-new committee for Victoria with the support of Lotus Living and Neighbourhood Watch Victoria.
