Local Business Feature – Truck Shop Deluxe

For any local who knows their stuff, Truck Shop Deluxe is the go-to foodie destination when looking to indulge. A colourful eatery inspired by the truck stop diner-style restaurants that line the West Coast of the USA, Truck Stop Deluxe appropriately decided to open its doors in Werribee – the beating heart of Melbourne’s west and only a 10-minute drive from Jubilee.

Its vision? Simple – to change up the fast-food game and bring high-quality burgers to the people of Werribee, Wyndham Vale and beyond, drawing in people from all over the city.

We spoke to Truck Shop Deluxe manager, Tim Mcloughlin who said the decision to service Melbourne’s west has filled a big burger-sized gap in the market, making for an extremely loyal customer base.

“There’s a real community feel that’s palpable throughout the greater west and because of that our customers have become like family – they love the food we make, and we love to provide it,” said Tim.

Since its inception in 2013, Truck Stop Deluxe has become a western institution, now known and loved for its good vibes, old-school feel and delicious food.

“We really care about what we do, and that ethos has led to us having a really positive reputation as one of the west’s greatest foodie destinations,’ he continued.

An extensive burger menu is complemented with mouth-watering sides, including popcorn chicken, mac and cheese croquettes, and loaded fries, just to name a few.

The most popular burger on the menu is the ‘El Gringo’, a Mexican-inspired creation made with premium Aussie beef, double American cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, corn chips, sour cream and locally made hot sauce on a lightly toasted brioche bun.

For a real taste of the USA try an Australian take on the American classic – chicken and waffles – one of Truck Shop Deluxe’s signature dishes.

Backing on to the Werribee river, Truck Shop Deluxe has a large deck area at its rear that overlooks the river, making it the perfect place for a function. In the past year, the eatery has hosted 21st birthday parties, large group bookings and is even set to host an engagement party later this year.

Truck Stop Deluxe is open Wednesday through Sunday, offering dine in or takeaway and is available on UberEats for those days you don’t feel like leaving the house.

Treat yourself and indulge at Truck Stop Deluxe – we’re sure it’ll hit the spot.
