What’s on in Wyndham Vale – February

As we enter the last month of summer, Wyndham Vale is buzzing and is certainly not short of exciting events for you and the whole family to enjoy.  From sporting events and outdoor cinema, to multicultural food festivals and wildlife tours, there is fun to be had for all. 

However, the most anticipated and exciting event is by far the launch of our new residents only private indoor water park, Club Jubilee One which is coming soon. 

A wonderland for kids and adults alike, our Club Jubilee One will feature a large luxurious leisure pool, 25 metre lap pool, indoor waterslides and a Junior Fun Zone, and is the first of recreational centres planned in Jubilee.

VALENTINE’S DAY IN THE PARK 

When: 5pm-10pm, Friday, 14th February 2020

Where: Wyndham Park, Entry from Wedge Street Piazza, Watton Street, Werribee

Cost: Free 

Share the love with a free Outdoor Cinema experience in Wyndham Park, featuring the family-friendly Shrek at 6pm and the ultimate romantic tearjerker, The Notebook at 8pm. 

The event kicks off at 5pm, with kids’ activities and a huge new playground and facilities to explore. You can create your own flower crown or take advantage of the free photobooth and see your loved-up, happy snaps on the big screen.  

Then find a comfy perch on the Central Lawn to enjoy the free flicks and magical river views.

Picnics are welcome and there’ll also be some sweet dessert treats, including churros and gelato available in the park for purchase.

MT ROTHWELL SPOTLIGHT TOUR 

When: 8:15pm-10:15pm, Saturday, 15th February 2020 

Where: 5 Mt Rothwell Road, Little River 

Cost: Free

Mt Rothwell is the largest feral predator-free ecosystem in Victoria where you can see some of Australia’s most threatened fauna, including the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, Southern Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby and Eastern Quoll. 

Join the team for an educational and fun evening spotlight tour and discover some of Victoria’s most threatened species thriving at Mt Rothwell. 

Please bring water and any light snacks you are likely to need. You will also need to wear weather appropriate clothing with enclosed sturdy footwear and you are welcome to bring torches and cameras (flash is OK).

This is an all ages event, children must be accompanied by an adult.

JUNIOR RANGER GARDEN EXPLORERS 

When: 1pm – 2pm, Sunday, 16th February 2020 

Where: Werribee Park, Werribee Mansion, 320 K Road, Werribee South (Enter via Gate 2) 

Cost: Free

Calling all junior Green Thumbs out there! 

Explore the beautiful gardens around Werribee Mansion. The majestic gardens feature a colourful ‘parterre’, ornamental lake and grotto, glasshouses and expansive lawns.

This fun event will see Junior Rangers follow clues to identify heritage-listed trees and learn about growing succulents – one of the feature plants of the gardens. They will also get to share the joy of gardening and pot up a succulent to feature in their own garden.

This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please make sure children wear sturdy, closed toe footwear (no thongs or bare feet!) and bring drinking water, a hat and sunscreen.

The group will meet outside the entry to Werribee Mansion.

BAREFOOT CINEMA AT WERRIBEE MANSION

Barefoot Cinema is making its debut at Werribee Park’s State Rose Garden this summer! 

The Barefoot Cinema experience is so much more than a movie. Guests will enjoy live music, lawn games, food trucks, a fully licensed bar and surprise giveaways all before the film has even started! 

And then, as the sun begins to set, settle into the stunning surroundings and break out the popcorn to enjoy your flick of choice.

After much anticipation, Jubilee are thrilled to announce the opening of Club Jubilee One – Australia’s first private indoor water park facility for Jubilee residents, boasting a three lane 25-metre lap pool, a large leisure pool with learn to swim area, toddler pool with splash pad and waterplay areas, two indoor water slides and a junior fun zone with water cannons, ground sprays and water spurts.

In celebration, Jubilee will be hosting an exciting opening event very soon for all residents to come and enjoy.
