What’s on in Wyndham Vale – January 2019

Summer is in full swing! Why not kick off 2019 by trying something new, or exploring a new place in our local area. Here’s a list of What’s On this January, with a few activities to keep the kids occupied this school holidays as well!

 

SUNSET SAFARI – WERRIBEE OPEN RANGE ZOO

Help fight wildlife extinction and be among the first to experience Werribee Open Range Zoo like never before! In this new and exclusive after-hours event, spend an incredible night out with some of the world’s most iconic animals. Start the evening with a complimentary drink on arrival at the pop-up bar then set off on one of the night’s three incredible experiences.

Proceeds from Sunset Safari help Zoos Victoria support international conservation partners such a Rhino Fund Uganda.

When: 6:00pm onwards, 11th Jan 2019 – 30th March 2019

SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN IN THE SUN

Enjoy a day of FREE summer sporting activities including soccer, volleyball, can ball, half court basketball and more! There will also be a sausage sizzle.

When: 10:00am – 3:30pm, Wednesday 16th January, 2019

AUSTRALIA DAY IN WYNDHAM

Australia Day in Wyndham is a day to come together in the heart of Werribee for a great afternoon and evening out with the whole family! Celebrate contemporary Australia and reflect on our history.

Chill out in the Pop Up Park and bring your own picnic or select your dinner from an array of food trucks or local cafes and restaurants while enjoying the great Aussie movie ‘Babe’.

This family friendly event also includes amusement rides and kids activities with a new addition: The Makers Market featuring an array of handmade artisan products and of course like any great celebration, end the evening with stunning fireworks.

Wyndham City recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Custodians of the lands on which Australia was founded.
