What’s on: The Victorian Seniors Festival is on again for its 34th year! This year there will be over 1,500 events (free or low cost) kicking off on October the 2nd. While all these events are spread across Victoria, there are many that will be held in Werribee and surrounding Suburbs. Events such as Crafts, Concerts, iPad Training, Trivia, Hearing Checks, Bowls, Lunches, Author ‘Talk’, Ukulele Workshops, Dance and many more will be held in Werribee for all to enjoy! What’s on: Interested in how craftsmen create Cider? In this 18+ workshop, you’ll be able to learn all the steps that go into making a single cup of cider. By the end of the day a batch of cider will be made – by you! All materials will be supplied.

What’s on: To celebrate spring and the arrival of spring fashion, Pacific Werribee is inviting customers to take part in their interactive fashion activation that allows you to try on and share fashion looks with the latest season pieces. This activation will allow shoppers to digitally try on outfits with 100+ items to choose from. Shoppers will also have the chance to win $250 worth of clothes each week and a few will win a $20 voucher instantly upon submission of their look!

What’s on: Get close and personal with some of the soldiers and aids that fought in World War 1. Through their personal stories, this exhibition is moving and emotional. Their struggles fighting for our country will really touch you in ways you have never known.

Visit the Plaza Library to hear these extraordinary stories of the war about their own personal experiences in WW1.

When & Where: Friday 14th October 2016, 06:00PM- 08:00PM. Werribee South Beach.

What’s on: Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual fundraising walk to help more Australians beat blood cancer. Light the Night walks will take place all across the country. As night falls, family and friends will gather and shine special lanterns.

Each colour will represent a different importance – Gold (to remember a loved one), White (for their own blood cancer journey) or Blue (to support others). Click here to find out more about this wonderful event.

What’s on: The Annual Rotary Club of Werribee Art Show offers an opportunity for savvy art lovers to purchase affordable artworks for their homes and businesses.

Offering prizes in the categories of Oils, Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastel and Other Medium.

This event not only helps artists connect to new audiences but also raises money for the charitable work of Rotary. Proceeds from the Art Show fund a large variety of local projects and volunteer initiatives that support the most vulnerable in the Wyndham community.

What’s on: Wyndham City is proud to announce its annual Children’s Week Picnic! For its 16th year, the city plans on having a fun, family friendly day full of interactive activities for the children. This may include sports, crafts, music, dance, and many more activities that will leave children restless at the end of it all! There will be non-stop live entertainment running through out the day. What’s on: Get set for one incredible weekend at the spectacular Werribee Mansion, filled with music, art, installations, entertainment, food, wine, dedicated entertainment and wonderful lands for kids. Welcome to The Lost Lands!

The impressive music line up is headlined by international bands Mariachi El Bronx and Ozomatli and features Australian favourites The Waifs, Missy Higgins, The Grates, Architecture in Helsinki, The Bamboos with Tim Rogers, Tash Sultana & Harts.

Held over two days (29 and 30 October 2016) in the beautiful grounds of the Werribee Mansion, The Lost Lands brings together the best local and international music talent, as well as a captivating arts program, cultural activities, comedy, performance, an outdoor cinema & dedicated kids entertainment. When & Where: Saturday 29th Oct 2016, 08:30PM- 10:30PM. Point Cook Homestead, 1 Point Cook Homestead Road, Point Cook.

What’s on: Discover the country home of the Chirnside family at Point Cook Homestead. Found at the end of a lonely country track – you’ll find yourself lost in another world. With only moonlight guiding your way, this tour has one of our highest levels of paranormal activity.

Learn about the homestead said to still be haunted by Thomas Chirnside. Hear about the betrayal; find the dark and dangerous nooks and crannies, and stories of the Chirnside family secrets in the 1850’s. Children 12+ only!
