When & Where:  Saturday 10th September, 08:00PM- 9:30PM. Werribee Park Historic Farm (enter via Gate 5 off K Road – Shadowfax Winery entrance).

What’s on: Down to Earth is an interactive performance, which uses true stories from 1862. With the engaging mixture of history, mystery and comedy, this play takes us back in time to the more rustic life of the farm worker. ‘Down to Earth’ gives the audience an opportunity to immerse themselves into the daily life and eerie darkness of a 19th century farm. As visitors to the farm, you are immediately placed right into the middle of the play, as you are given the role of a new worker on the farm.

Many real life stories are discussed through out the performance, including the Wedge family drowning, opportunities for gold discovery, typical jobs mentioned around the farm, difficulties of heat in summer for food preservation and confrontation with Aboriginals.

This event is recommended for children over 12 years due to ‘scary elements’.
