What’s on in Wyndham Vale – March 2020 

Autumn has arrived and although the leaves will begin to change and the air will start to cool, Wyndham Vale is certainly not short of entertainment this month for you and the family to enjoy.  

Our great country celebrates multicultural month throughout March, so there is an abundance of multicultural festivals, fairs and fun runs to take part in all month long. 

And, don’t forget if you are a resident, that Australia’s largest private indoor waterpark – Club Jubilee One has officially opened, so make sure you check it out soon.

Where: Werribee Park Heritage Orchard, K Road, Werribee South

Cost: Free 

Come and discover the best of Werribee Park Heritage Orchard with tours of the orchard at this community run event.

This fantastic event will have grafting demonstrations, workshops and live music, in addition to food, garden, craft and market stalls. 

You can also purchase your own grafted rare and heritage fruit trees (apricot, peach and plum) on the day for between $15-25. 

Entry to the event will be via Gate 5, K Road, Werribee South.  

Gold coin donation required for parking.

Where: Werribee South Beach, Beach Road (Opposite O’Connors Road), Werribee

Cost: $5 (over 15 years), Free (under 15 years)

There are few better ways to start your day than with a relaxing yoga session on the beach. 

Join fellow yogi’s for a one hour session of Yoga on Werribee’s favourite and well known foreshore: Werribee South Beach. 

This event is open to all ages and beginners are welcome. 

Don’t forget to bring your mat/blanket, water and sunscreen.

Become part of the solution, not part of the problem. We will be doing a massive litter clean up in Wyndham Vale as part of Clean Up Australia Day. 

Join in with other community members for a family friendly day, helping our environment and improving the amenity of our suburbs. This is Australia’s biggest simultaneous clean-up day and makes a massive difference to our natural spaces

Gloves and bags will be provided on the day as well as a BBQ lunch at Nido Childcare Centre to say thank you to all our residents for all of your hard work.  

Please make sure you wear suitable clothing – closed shoes, hat and bring sunscreen and a water bottle.

The brand new Play School concert ‘Let’s Play Together is all about fun and games with friends.

As with the television program, there are songs to move to, as well as quiet times to just watch and listen, and is presented by two Play School actors, along with everyone’s favourite Play School toys.

With familiar toys Big Ted, Little Ted, Jemima and Humpty and introducing two new toys on their tour debut Joey and Kiya, this concert is filled with adventures of the imagination and will take children across the sea, up in the sky and over the moon.

Wyndham Holi is a platform to bring many communities with diverse cultural backgrounds together and involve them collectively to celebrate the festival.

This amazing free community event brings groups together to celebrate multicultural Australia, with the main objective to spread the messages of peace and harmony through the vibrant colors of the festival.

Join in on the fun and oodles of colour at this alcohol free- family friendly event which will fill your day with loads of activities. From the iconic Colour Run Race, kids rides, dancing, live music, food tastings, market stalls and games to Holika Dahan and a major fireworks display at 8:00pm, you will definitely not be short of things to enjoy at this event.

If you love Bollywood dancing, rides, kids craft, face painting, sports activities, food trucks, live tunes and more… then this event is not one to be missed. 

To celebrate the new renovations, Tarneit Community Learning Centre will throw open its doors for an afternoon of free family fun!

So, go on down for a bite to eat and soak up smooth tunes from local artists whilst having fun with the kids.

If you are between 12-25 and you live, work, study, or recreate in Wyndham, Youth Services want to hear about local issues that are important to you.

Wyndham City Council wants to hear your thoughts on education, employment, relationships, mental health, cultural diversity, LGBTIQ, amenities and support services in order to better community initiatives and plans for the future. 

Go along and let them know how they can improve Wyndham as a community for young people.

Lunch provided; dietary requirements catered for.

The Day by the Bay (DBTB) festival aims to celebrate and foster stewardship for Port Phillip Bay and its connected waterways. 

Held at the Point Cook Coastal Park (beach picnic area), the festival is a celebration of our natural and cultural heritage and an invitation for the community to learn about and share their love for the Bay in a fun and positive environment.

Live musicians, food, market and community stalls will be selected to ensure a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. Activities for different ages will also be provided.

This is a community run event by Remember the Wild. Participants are welcome to bring a picnic blanket, picnic basket, reusable water bottles and containers to get food and reduce packaging, as well as swimwear and towels to enjoy the bay on site.
